Regla 12 · Conducta violenta
IFAB Laws of the Game (extract)
Violent conduct (Law 12) is punished with a straight red: using, or attempting to use, excessive force or brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball, whether or not contact is made. If the referee judges that the head movement does not reach that level, squaring up or pushing in a melee is punished as unsporting behaviour, with a yellow. What matters is whether there is a movement of the head towards the opponent and with what force, as well as what each player did beforehand.
It was 2-3, right after Abde's goal. Betis played with ten men for the rest of the match and Barça went on to win. Lamine Yamal was booked in the same incident.
